There is plenty options around the R1200 mark...

Quite a stepup to the current R3k under discussion...

Problem is I had one in that price class, it was awesome. Lost it and now I have already bought two others and they dont work like the first.

    Goedkoop koop is duur koop.
Was hoping there will be some clarity on which cheap option is viable, but seems like I will also have to fork out R3k

Jokes aside, to me, the Noco looks like the business. I have a cheaper Romoss version. Although their cellphone powerbanks are great, the jumpstarter does not want to charge to full capacity anymore, despite only having been used twice (both times to start an elderly neighbour's small petrol gen). Maybe I have not used it often enough?

Just a quick question for the Powervault users, what is the maximum capacity diesel that it will start? My brother is looking for one for his V8 cruiser but I cant find any data on the Powervault website.

PowerVault shows on a video how they started a Pajero 3.2 Di-D 7 times on one charge.

How much larger the V-8 is (starter amps demand) I don't know.

Seems that I did NOT pay attention to this when I first read it, and my jump starter is not dead...

    Any thoughts on this: https://www.takealot.com/jump-jmp12-...y/PLID54529504
(I don't have R3k to spend, and the volume of reviews does fill me with hope)

    Hi Chris,

    V8 petrol Cruiser, no problem.
I have a report that it started a 4.2L diesel Cruiser 7 times on one charge.

I have a new model called power Max, an absolute monster, will start anything with a 12V battery. It is at the top end of pricing also, it is 28000mAh...true capacity, unlike the cheapies that simply lie.
My products is approved by the NRCS, ( basically the new SABS)

    Regards

Do you have one ? Which brand ? Does it work ? How long has it lasted ? Is it worth it ?

Inputs (no pun intended) will be appreciated....

    Hi Marko,

Colin here ( PowerVault) ....Bit of a sales pitch coming ...sorry 🙏

I am getting a few calls of units coming to the end of their life now.
These units were sold 6/7 years ago.
I personally have a 2016 still going strong.
Does PowerVault work? 7 years later I am still selling them so I would hope so.
It needs to be stressed you do need to maintain good battery health, so needs to by cycled every few months. Run it down and then recharge.
I have a few other offerings now, all listed on powerall..za one smaller and another bigger.

Re cheapies: It is tough completing against a product that is sold for less than the manufacturing cost of my product. Fact is they outright lie with regards to capacity, they use poor quality materials, batteries, chargers....I refuse to compromise. My products are all officially tested and approved for sale in SA.
But my product cost more than most...because they are proper.

The Noco is a great product....same same but different( not my product) but check it out also.

    Colin
