    Default Rock Sliders - Hardbody

    HI,

I want to put some GOOD rocksliders on my Hardbody, I bent the standard walker boards last weekend...

Interested in doing a custom fit, I heard people use about a 70mm Diameter pipe with a 3.5mm Thickness etc etc.

Any ideas and has somebody done this themselves. Pics would be appreciated.

If it doesnt seem to be viable to do them myself I suppose I will need to buy them from somewhere.

    THANKS

Herman (Engel) has some very nice slider on his Hardbody, ask him - he manufactures them himself and Im sure he can help you.

you loose too much clearance with a 70mm pipe. Use 76x38 rect tube 3mm thick

Droopy, some fat steam pipes welded on in three places. I can lift the vehicle on the slider,
not worried about clearance, i have enough for my needs

Those are some nice rock sliders Ian, you don't have much need for rocksliders, dunes need skid plates.

Laat maar weet of kom sien my.

40mm dia steam pipe and 12mm brackets, 16mm braces for my Patrol's sliders. They are welded together and works very well. My Patrol tends to get stuck on those donnerse little nekkies you get on the 4x4 obstacle courses, so now I can rush the obstacles without fear of damage to my door sills, although they have taken a severe beating already...

PS. Make an overkill. It'll be worth it on the first obstacle...

UberPatrol, that protruding bracket under the slider would worry me a bit as it can catch on stuff.
