Fork oil expiry Castrol

I have been meaning to put a new fork seal on my CRF for the last few years, I think over 5 now as it has a slow leak. I found the sealed bottle of Castrol fork oil and fork seals in my storeroom. Is it okay to use fork oil which may be up to 8 years old. I'm sure it can't damage the fork? The current oil has been in the fork since 2008 so hopefully it would be fine or should I just toss it and buy new oil?

PS I am a little concerned about the seals, are they still in the original packaging, possibility they deteriorated if allowed to dry out or in contact with UV

Thank you, thought so but needed to double check. Could not find an expiry date on the bottle either.

The seals are still in Honda sealed packaging and look okay. They were about R500 or so those years ago so don't want to even check what they would be now. They should be fine as the other seals have been in since 2008.
