Conqueror Compact/Comfort awning

Hi Guys

I have ordered a compact trailer from Conqueror. Their standard bat wing type awning is 35k though, just madness when the rest of the awning companies are charging half that. I do see though that the awning would need to be lifted as it would sit at about head height....this would need to be manually or on gas struts so that may be an issue or require a special bracket......How did any of you chaps get around this?
