Die diewe het jamming tech wat die sein uit die voertuig block.
Sodra die sein geblock is, kan hulle hulle tyd vat om die trackers te soek en uit te haal.

They will compensate him for the insured value I would think.

This is such an emotive issue. Be as it may, I am more uncomfortable parking my Hilux in a shopping mall than the wife's X3 (statistics or no statistics). PS: if they steal my Hilux I will get another one. That Hilux has my 100% confidence that it will take me places and bring me back. I dont have the same confidence in the X3.

100% successful. Mine has the gearlock and it's never been stolen.

Seems like Haltlock is the way to go. They can start your vehicle but cannot remove it, unless on a flatbed.

I did not have the Toyota steering wheel lock. Mine was more for deterrence effect as it secures the wheel over the dashboard, hoping it would be visible enough and encourage them to pick a different bakkie.

It is not possible to definitively say that having a Toyota lock, is the cause of not having the car stolen, unless there was a confirmed attempted theft.

Having spent 2 hours this week trying to get hold of Tracker’s accounts department via their faulty/buggy website and chatbot, has confirmed that I will try a smaller different vehicle tracking supplier. Seeing that my insurance insists on a tracker, I may as well try someone else…

Was my turn again this morning at 05:30, a year and six days after the last attempt. The jumped over my gate and pushed it out of the yard before starting it, only managed to drive 800m before they dumped it as they could not bypass the Ghost i have installed. They then tried to steal a different one in the same area but got scared off by the owners when they heard the window breaking.

Dit is my een probleem met trackers. Versekering probeer jou verplig om dit in te sit, maar ek wil regtig nie die bakkie terug hê as diewe die ding uitmekaar geruk het om tracker te kry nie.
