I can't see me resisting that. Currently use the little foam thingy that you put the can into, but that's pretty useless at keeping it cold. I've compensated for the beer getting warm by gulping the beer really quickly, but that has some personal relationship drawbacks.

This is quite a problem as I tend to do the same, and had the opportunity to use one of those 700ml stanley's over the new years weekend. It takes a quart of zamalek leaving the last sip in the bottle, and being used to drinking the beer quickly before it gets warm.... Well ja, the rest is history.

Ja, look, I'm not saying the habit will be easily broken, or when exactly I'll start, but it's always good to have lofty goals ...

I have a trigger mug. Who could resist such a beast of a mug, made by Stanley nogal?
Can make a monster camp coffee in this mug.
I had it full of morning coffee, on the passenger seat, closed. Had to slam on brakes.
Escape Gear seat covers provide some grip, so mug flew off spinning, into the dashboard, foot well, rolled around a bit.

Probably missing that the special doesn't run 24/7 365 and no guarantee of any products being on special...so the normal price is R1,3k-R1.4k depending on retailer as it was when I was shopping for one.

See post 74 if you'd like an example.

Slightly off topic, but I recently bought myself a Lizzard cup with a lid and used it for the first time this weekend.

It keeps the coffee too hot, if you can believe, it takes too long to drink as it stays hot for too long.

I then used it for cold drinks, chucked a couple of cubes of ice in it with water for my nighttime drink. Now if you were in the Baviaans this past weekend you will know that it was not cold. The following morning, I still had ice cubes in my cup.

    I am seriously impressed.

Hi all. I am also a Stanley fan. Please tell us how these beer mugs keep the beer cold for a long time. Do you have to put it in the deep freezer beforehand?

Also a bit off topic, but my son bought a Hydro Cell - 2L Water Bottle from Takealot.

Filled about a quarter with ice and cold fridge water - 52 hours later still ice in bottle( while being used in the period).

Have not tried it with hot fluids yet.

So impressed , I ordered the 1,18ml one for myself.

OK what happened now. Why does it seem like everyone has these things.
My friends who literally dont camp bought a trailer and came with us first time and even had them.

Walking around the camp sites its like it is a uniform to have one of these in your hands in the morning, and I am holding this.

The main attractions on the Stanley Flask particularly in my case:
Mine is well over two decades old.
Firstly during our caravanning and camping days, then overlanding.
Now I use it daily, (or should I say nightly) so that load shedding or not; if I want really HOT water for my early morning coffee I have it.
I use it and immediately or as soon as possible re-fill it with BOILING water once a day around 4.30 am then use it again the next morning about the same time.
Steam still comes out after the 24 hours without having been opened.

Another good feature is the ability to only partially open the lid to pour and still retain almost all the heat in the remaining liquid.
If some used, the balance still hot enough but not too much steam a couple of hours later.

Then it comes with a lifetime guarantee and they DO honour it.
However I have only ever had to replace the screw on lid seal which was supplied and even fitted at no charge both times, most recently early last year.

I Never tried keeping cold beer in it though .... I dispose of of that too fast to have to worry about keeping it cool much.
I have not tried any other products (In this line of products), but can vouch for their top notch quality and durability.

Had a Stanley hand plane very very many years back .... Wonder what happened to it, come to think of it now
    Also excellent quality.

    PS and OT:
Reminds me of my Kirby vacuum cleaner with the full set of attachments that I bought some time in the 1980's for circa R 3 500 AT THAT TIME.
I still have it, it still functions well but, yes, could now do with a thorough servicing which could well cost more now than I paid for the machine when new.

Take it to a Kirby service centre.
They do a complete service and polish - machine returned and looks like new.
All at a price that will surprise you.
    Call them for a quote.
No - I am not involved with Kirby.

I saw a lot of these Instagram / TikTok stampede stuff for Stanleys which was crazy. Think it all started after a woman's car was on fire and the only item that was recovered was her Stanley cup.

Something of that burnt car wreckage video got me wondering and cast some doubt on it.

I mean: the whole car interior of plastic practically melted, including steering wheel, but the Stanley lid, the straw and the handle (which was plastic) was not affected? There was not even any soot marks on the cup itself.

    Come on, for reals?
