Are there any members who have converted their generators to gas ?.
Is this a good idea?, is it more economical than petrol?.
Is it safe?
Can it be done by just connecting the gas to the petrol intake on the carb?

In the UK many many moons ago we used to run Rover V8's on gas. We had to start them on petrol and get a new carb fitted. They were much less economical but LPG was half the price, so it ended up cheaper GBP per Mile.
Technology will probably have moved on since then.
My advice would be to get a professional fitter to do the conversion

should you do the conversion please post back regarding the cost of the conversion kit and gas usage vs a tank of petrol, assuming electr load is roughly the same. the claim of "save up to 70% on running costs" in that flyer imo is a bit optimistic.
A quick calc I have done some time ago shows that the cost/kJ energy from gas was about on par with petrol, at the price I pay for gas anyway.
