Believe me, it was really tempting, at times, so much that I had to bite down on the urge to do that!

In today's times of "fragile ego's/personalities", political correctness, sexual harassment with law suits and potental HR repercussions and such nonsense, I had to bear it....throw a deaf ear, so to speak.

Very recently I had enough with this one person at my office. Stood right in front of "she/her" and slowly, with a big show of gestures, removed my hearing aids out, and switched it off. There was a big applause from the personnel present. And she never returned for a few days, only insisting on remote working and attending meetings via online cam which was declined. HR had a word with her. And she returned, minus the gums.

Mu suggestion is ask the guilty to blow a bubble, then pop it with your first 3 finger, scratch your bum and ask if anyone else wants to chew gum loudly.
