Now that looks nice. I wonder if the "smart" part can be retrofitted? My NL90 is only a year old.

Is this the same as a normal NL with only the Bluetooth part making it smart?
Personally I dont see the hype with anything bluetooth. I’m more of a set it and forget it type of guy. Plug in the charger or fridge and go. For batteries I am quite happy with the normal NL battery monitor running the LED lights from green to red. Check it when you connect charger to see if it charges, and check daily to adjust your usage when off grid. Simple enough isn’t it? Or can someone persuade me that its better having bluetooth so you can sit on your arse with your phone in your hand while camping?

I find Bluetooth useful monitoring various devices particularly in hot environments. It is nice to know everything is functioning as it should. You don't have to disturb your sundowner time by opening the 4x4 to check!
I am surprised it has taken taken Nat. Luna so long to introduce this well after Snomaster!
But it will be a welcome feature of their brand.

There are stand alone bluetooth devices (not Nat. Luna) available - have never used them - but Google search could be worthwhile.

When I had crap battery setups and poor chargers I was constantly monitoring it. Now I set and forget. Check it 3 times a day when I'm at the trailer or vehicle for something else. Been faultless for 4 years now. I'm not saying you shouldn't have a monitoring system, just that Bluetooth is norlt all that. I'm not glued to my phone when camping, so for the same effort in getting up to get my phone to check my fridge I can walk to my fridge, where I spend most of my time anyway.
While driving the fridge remains closed, so if you encounter a problem it can keep temperature for a while. You can only sort it out when you stop anyway. Technically, you shouldn't be fiddling with your phone checking your fridge while driving?
Just my opinion. I have seen others brag about their Bluetooth monitors around the campfire but they actually never use it in the field.

Two of the biggest concerns with camping fridges are power loss because a cable came loose and low battery because of a charging problem.
Does the Bluetooth app give an audible warning when the power cord disconnects or the battery runs low?
