Default What Pajero do you drive?

So, how many Pajero owners do we have?

Please post which one you own. Iif you own (or have owned) more than one, vote on the latest one you bought. If you have a rebuild, what platform is it based on?

2nd gen Pajero 96 3.5L V6 LWB, can't afford more recent model but you get opinions that 2nd gen is better off-road because it has axle at the rear and less shiny plastic to rip off

Gen 3, 2005 3.2 GLX LWB. Standard but for bashplates. Still learning to use it properly and will adjust as my abilities catch up with the car's.

Gen 2 1996 2,8 TDI and I want to know something please. My pajero has got that high roof at the back. I don't see a lot of them on the roads. Were they made here or in Japan and why the higher roof? Go look at the photos on my profile. Thanks.

Would it make sense to post pics of each generation ? I have almost no idea of the design of the older versions...just recently have seen the Gen IV....(the model after mine Pajero...)

You'll get an idea of the differences in shape between the models and when the switch occurred by looking here

Major difference is the old style ladder suspension against the newer monocoque type suspension. Flexing is absorbed by the suspension and not the body. From gen3 mitsu advises that you use the airbag type jack and not the hi lift and tricks like lift & drop are not advised as it might bend the chassis. Still a capable vehicle though.
