That is really unusual because despite some aspects often not being optimal on Garmin devices, especially using them with a computer the actual routing performance is normally great. And it would seem it’s not the gps location service that’s glitching it’s the programming that’s out of whack.
Any further developments?

This goes to confirm my never buying a Garmin device again.
Had an old Garmin unit that I got with a car. Took it Garmin was told to old and traded in for Nuvi 40 or something with lifetime updates. When it came to updating I was told you have to pay.
Use my phone now, is automatically updated and never a problem and even give info as to slow or heavy traffic as well as alternative routes.

I’ve given up with the overland POS!
currently sitting in Botswana and the New Defenders OEM GPS is more reliable.
this picture is taken in Lonehill when leaving on Saturday morning. The Overlander wants me to go back to Midrand then Pretoria to get to the Pioneers gate border post. The route it wants me to take to do a U turn is through a private housing complex. It is set at shortest route no avoidances.
DO NOT BUY THIS GPS. It is absolute rubbish! Garmin should be ashamed of themselves!
