    Default KZN Advise please

We are two couples from the Cape who will be spending a week in St Lucia (timeshare). Afterwards we want to visit some of the parks in the area (about 8 days before returning home).
Any advise on which parks to visit, we will be camping. We also think to drive Sani Pass on our way back to the Cape - any suggegstions?
How is the weatherin mid July to mid August?
    Any feedback will be appreciated.
    Many thanks

Wink There will be weather all over the country

    Hi bolander,

St Lucia, probably 15 - 25 deg C unless there is a cold front. Most likely windy, from the South West. Maybe you could arrange to leave your cold fronts in the Cape while you are in KZN and make us all happy

Lesotho, probably close to 0 deg C during the day and minus to very minus C at night. Also snow and iced roads very likely, depending on where you are. Read the threads on SANI PASS. It seams that snow chains may be a safe bet. BBRRRRRR

My suggestion would be to head for the Drakensberg Mountains (via some of KZN's battlesites first). If you guys enjoy hikes, then the hike to the top of the Amphitheatre and the source of the Tugella River, via the chain ladders, is a must. Then follow the side roads of the lower Berg, through the numerous parks, until Sani Pass. Check out the Ezemvelo KZN Wildlife site for more info and camping options. Enjoy.

Make sure if you are planning on using Sani , That you have an alternate route planned also. As last year it snowed up really badly and i dont think anyone got up for a good while.
