So the Qs are:
a.) Can one drive (we have a 4x4 Land Cruiser etc) through the National Park ? There is a Road, even if it is dirt, gravel or whatever.
b.) South Park Gates (to Exit NP) are where ..... ? GPS Coordinates would be a Bonus.
c.) Where could we Camp - we wish to be way away from Mto Wa Mbu ... ? Ablutions and Water, would be a Bonus.
Thanks v v much
a - yes
b - I'm pretty sure somewhere in the Kenya part of the forum is a trip report from Wazungu Wawilli that details driving out the southern gate of Lake Manyara NP.
The gate is Iyambi gate, coordinates S3° 42.324' E35° 43.858'. (all available on T4A, very helpful for this sort of trip)
c - The public campsite in Lake Manyara was rustic, and when we were there a few months ago was totally unusable and closed. I detailed our visit in a blog post if you want more info: https://stuckinlowgear.com/lake-manyara-and-covid/
You might get more responses if you post this in the Overland part of the forum.
