Thar 2019 Handbrake

Good day all,

I have a 2019 Thar NVe, the handbrake is not very strong (for a lack of better wording), on an in/decline I cannot trust the handbrake and need to leave the vehicle in 1st/reverse.
In a 4x4 scenario it is not always possible or safe to do so. Is there any boffin here that can tell me how to tighten the handbrake myself?

My limited knowledge says when you take the drum off the rear wheels, there is a small spring loaded toothed wheel where you adjust the handbrake.
