New dive sites in Southern Moambique

Hi guys and gals

Our dive centre in Santa Maria/Machangulo on the point of the Machangulo peninsula in Southern Mozambique is up and running.

We are wanting to find/map new dive sites around our area and have an idea for certified divers who have an explorer nature.

We can supply all the gear, boat and air at no charge, and only need the explorers to cover the cost of fuel for the boat.
We have two safari tents and plenty of space for more, and there are alternatives in the area for accommodation.

Are there any divers on the forum interested in doing some exploratory dives, to places unknown?

I would love to pull my rebreather out of storage for this, but our little one too young still for Mozambique. Does the boat have a fish finder to help locating reefs?

Yip, got fish finder and GPS onboard.
Got the sounder maps loaded and can see some potential spots, just need to dive them 😁😁

I know what you mean, we have dived in shorts and T shirt since Oct last year, been around 30deg but now dipping down to the mid 20s

How did your exploration exercise go? Glad I see your post only now - I would’ve had a hard time not thinking about an opportunity like this and we already had a trip to Mabibi booked at the time of your post.

We got a couple of more points, but still lots to go.

Now that the crowds have left, we can dive all over to find more great spots.
