Good day
I have now gone up and down through the different suspension upgrade solutions.
Fox has stood out both in terms of price, quality and applicability to my specific goal. I want a suspension upgrade and lift without adding all my accessories. I would prefer not to have to buy new coils AGAIN in the future.
With the Fox 2.0 shock with snap ring I can use my OEM coil in the interim and buy a coil from a reputable brand like Terrain Tamer in the future when I've started to add accessories.
I would appreciate anybody with experience with Fox 2.0 shocks and additionally someone with experience with the specific coil over a fox 2.0 shock setup as well?
Thanks in advance.

A few years back I put Fox 2.0 shocks on my Jeep Rubicon. I already had a 1.5inch lift on the car.
The Fox 2.0 were very good and the adjustment was great, especially when you tow and need to set the rears with considerably harder damping due to weight, BUT, and this really is a big but, for a price of R40k for the 4 shocks, it really wasn't worth it.
If I had the choice to do it again to my current car (FJ Cruiser Std suspension), the answer is NO.

Thank you Ubbo.
I am looking at R22k for 4 shocks and fitment, so it seems worth it to me so far if I look at all the happy people with their Fox 2.0 shocks. I am not getting the ones with external reservoirs as I'm not planning on traveling 4 months a year in Africa YET. So it seems like quite good bang for buck.
Any update on this upgrade?
I've run Fox 2.0 (4 shocks & front coils) since getting my Dakar Double Cab in 2018 and been extremely happy! My wife had a Legend 50 Double Cab for a few years which I drove back to back and the difference is night & day! Fox would now be my default choice, pity they are not making anything for the LC 300

Why not get the entire suspension done when you have all the accessories ready? What is it you want to achieve with replacing the shocks?
