Strength to you Fluffy and Christa.

The sad part for me is knowing they had a life just as full as we can remember our own now. Age takes a lot of those memories away. Some one once said that you can live a long time with no life or a short time full of life. Nonsense, no reason why you can't do both. Look at some of these older folks, they did things harder and more daring than we ever have.

My wife's Mom told us a funny story as she sat in her chair 90 years old. She said to us her husband, also 90 had read that eating two bowls of porridge oats a day helped you live longer. As he was already eating one bowl a day since he was born I think, he doubled his intake.

She looked at him and said, stupid old man, do you want to live forever ? She may have lost use of her body and even some of her mind, but she never lost that sense of humour.

And so it turns into a day from hell.

Saying goodbye wasn't pleasant, for anybody.

Going up Sir Lowry's Pass Bev says she isn't feeling well.

I stop at Riversdale in a roaring South West to get her a iced coffee. Open the door, wind takes the door out of my hands, nearly rips it off it's hinges and crunches the door and front fender. Oh well.

Get to George and Bev is still not well. Heart monitor says pulse 150+ and erratic.

So off to the ER at Medicross George. They wip her away and after two hours of agony and a flat battery on my cell phone the doctor gets back to me. She went from ER to RESUS where they had to stop her heart.

So because of the heavy heart drugs she is now stable'ish in High Care, and I couldn't even see here because of Covid.

So all alone in a B&B waiting for the morning.
    Cheers

I'm in George for my son's first day tomorrow. Do you need anything?

Thank you for the offer. We have good friends in George, our B&B is one we use often and they are standing by, as are my kids in Durban.
    Cheers
