Question Short antenna for 2019 Ranger

    Hi,

Recently re-purchased a Ranger, after selling my 2015 3.2 XLT, this time a 2019 XLT 2.0 SiT Auto.

With my previous ranger, the antenna on the roof could "fold down" if you will so it cleared my Garage door.
This time around, the antenna is "fixed" and unable to swivel.
Is there any replacements available that I can look at?
A short-stem antenna or a shark fin that might work? Don't want to undo the roof lining on the inside to fit a new unit, so a short-stem antenna might be the best bet.

Anyone that has had this scenario and needed a solution?

    Thanks!

There are many short-stem antenna's for sale on Takealot and the like. I have the same problem with my Everest, and took a plastic toy bolt from my son's "handyman" sets, glued a piece of wire on the inside of the bolt attached to a screw that fits in the antenna bracket and used that. Have had no issues with reception.

    Thank you for the response.
    Will shop around.

I'm not one for being too crafty, but my son is outgrowing his toys, perhaps I need to make something of it :P

    Hi Hennels.

Just an update. After losing my home made short antenna, I decided to purchase one. Bought one at Midas for R 61.00 and it works perfectly.
