    Die groot probleem, in my opinie, is ons dink 'retirement funding' is geld. Daar is menige maniere om jou aftrede te 'befonds' anders as net geld in n annuïteit/pensioen fonds. Dit is maar net een van die maniere.

    Wat my besigheids mentor my geleer het

    1. beding aandele in jou maatskappy so vroeg jy kan. Vergaan liewers kort termyn bonusse in verruil vir aandele
    2. Moet nie bang wees om beleggings risikos te neem nie (gerekende risiko natuurlik)
    3. Hou dop vir IPO's en belê strategies in industrieë wat die toekoms is

    En dan natuurlik die bestuur van jou geld soos al tevore genoem. Seker een van die belangrikste gewoontes wat n mens moet leer is om eers te spaar, dan te spandeer. Ons doen dit gewoonlik anders om, spandeer eers, en probeer spaar wat oorbly

    Ek het op 30 my laaste salaris verdien. En my ingenieursbesigheid begin.

    Op 36 my alie gesien en alles verloor.

    Toe begin ek verstand kry en besef waaroor die lewe gaan.

    Op 67 weet ek nou hoe om 'n geleentheid/transaksie te benader en kyk nie meer terug nie. Dit gaan nie vir my oor kontant in die bank nie, eerder oor bates wat kan kontant genereer en later wanneer nodig in méér kontant omgeskakel kan word.

    Jip, maar mens hoef nie net uit jou eie foute te leer nie, mens kan uit ander se foute ook leer.

    ñ Ou top het my eens raad gevra. Hy het ñ lekker cash uitbetaling ontvang, en wou weet of hy sy huis moet afbetaal, en of hy liewer upgrades op die huis moet doen.

    Ek het vir hom gese, jys ñ kontrakteur, betaal jou huis af, as jy eendag nie meer werk kry nie, is jou huis ten minste af betaal. Hy het besluit om liewer die upgrades en renovations te doen, want dit is wat sy girlfriend wou he. Ek sien sy huis is nou in die mark, en dis nie heeltemal omdat hy hom wil verkoop nie, dis omdat hy moet.

    En ook, die hoeveelheid geld wat hy gespend het op renovations, kry hy nie terug met die huidige list prys nie. Ek voel jammer vir hom, maar daar was net weer ñ les vir my, moenie over capitalize in jou huis nie.

    marketing slogans and not a lifestyle philosophy

    Todays marketers insist you spend everything NOW and repent at leasure

    I took my 20 year old merc for a country drive yestarday, what a dream, I wouldnt swop it for todays econoboxes

    Money spent on life insurance has been a waist thus far.. ..I have not used the benefit once
