How does one power a kettle or frying pan from the AC outlet that can only produce 600W each?

    It is what it is,

At face value the most expensive undesirable solution available.

But that is just an opinion, not a fact.

And if a commercial member offers a product, then he must defend it. Do or Die. Really simple ne'.

I agree with Fluffy, it might not meet my needs but it could be just the ticket for someone who wants a plug and play option albeit at a premium. I can't see why the proposition itself gives the online community a bad name surely caveat emptor applies?

If "bad name" was determined by the quality of the adverts, there would be no 'good' newspapers, magazines, radio stations, TV channels, websites, etc, etc.

No skin in this or offering an opinion on if the ad is misleading or not, but to answer the question - From the website it says:

POWER A WIDE RANGE OF APPLIANCES The RIVER Pro can power some devices up to 1800W with the X-Boost mode on, which lets you power about 80% of essential devices like kitchen appliances and DIY tools. Use devices below 1200W for the best product use.

Actually the units are 1800w (delta 1300) and the river pro is indeed 600w but has X Boost mode which enables it to power devices up to 1800w (resistive loads)

I' saw a YouTube video where one of these ran a large DeWalt mitre saw .

The guy had it for longer than a year running all his AC power tools on a job site with no utility power

Thanks. From the ad I have no clue what X-stream tech or X-boost is. I saw the label showing 2 x600W and hoped it was 600W each and not 600W combined.
Perhaps if the legend showed a, X-boost button it might be clearer. Not all people would have the time to browse for videos for such a new product which I have never heard the name.
I asked the question and got an answer.

All I can say is that it's much more rewarding to build your own pack. For the price they charge for those bespoke packs I can build a unit that has 4 times the capacity.....

I doubt this is aimed at the project builder or hobbyist, but rather at somebody who has no interest in trying to figure what to do, and just needs a working solution.

I'm keen to see how you would do this.

Can you provide a parts lists with costs that will have the same functionality.

Lets use this one as a example model.

    https://www.takealot.com/ecoflow-riv...n/PLID73199269

    So you will need

    MPPT Controller
    DC DC charger (small one)
    AC-DC charger
Pure Sine Wave inverter (seems around 1000W)
    720W Lithium Battery
Some sort of bluetooth capable screen with monitor for it all
Enclosure with all the various USB C and A ports

I saw this ad and the comments, and thought it should actually be not too hard to test.
Just plug a kettle in an see what happens.
Turns out there is already a few youtube videos on this.
Seems like the battery limits the output to 600w.
In the case of a kettle it will then just takes much longer, but it actually boils the water.
