    Itís not easy, but Iíll rather drive a Land Rover with a piston eating Ford motor, than no Land Rover.😂

    My Fords only gave me good service.
    2x 4.0l pass the 300k km mark with nothing other than services.

    I did enjoy my Ford builds.
    The 347 Yank Ranger an the PlatFord 302 V8..Hooked on Ford V8's.
    Would love to have a Coyote 5.0l Mustang..

    For some reason I am not a fan of the Ford diesel line up.
    Would love a F150 Raptor. Very close to have one imported in 2011.

    Ja, dit was die goedkoopste. Maar met 'n voorwaarde. Net die badge is Ford. My 1600i Laser was soos Sam se VG30. Net dienste. 255 000km vir 'n petrol 1600 is nie sleg nie.
    En die 2,5 WLT Ranger se enjin is vantasmagories. Ook geen rattles nie.
    Ek wil nie hierdie thread so verinneweer soos die ouens die Toyota thread verinneweer het nie, maar my twee Fords was uitstekend, maar hulle was nie eintlik Fords nie.

    You're at least talking about real Fords.

    1983 MK III escort XR3i
    Sapphire Ghia 3.0i
    Ford bantam 1600i
    2002 Ford ranger 2.5tdi
    2008 Ford ranger 4.0 v6
    Current 2020 wildtrak

    A few company cars in-between as well as a touareg and a range rover.

    Not one of my ford's gave a days issue, the others.......
    Ranger Wildtrak
    Ex Range Rover Sport 5.0 SC
    Ex R5 Touareg with air and RDL
    Lotus 7 replica racecar.

    1) Nissan my swak diens gegee het.

    2) Nissan se waarborg beteken zilch.

    3) Nissan se nuwe Navara het 'n effense reuk van "kostebesparing" op hom.

    4) Ek kon seker wag vir die nuwe Masuzu, maar 800k vir leersitplekke en dan net 140kw en 450Nm het my elders laat kyk.

    5) Ek is nie 'n Hilux fan nie (wel 'n cruiser en prado fan).

    6) My Ford het dieselfde gekos as die 2lt Amarok - ek verkies low range. Die V6 was buite my prysklas.

    7) Toe ek by Ford instap, met geen intensie om te koop nie, het die verkoopsman dadelik na my toe gekom, gesien ek is nie iemand wat hy hoef te agtervolg nie, gesien ek het my huiswerk op die kar gedoen en gevra of ek belangstel vir 'n toetsrit. Hulle het my 'n goeie prys gegee vir die D23, 50k aflsag gegee op die Ford en toe ek by hulle ry en op kantoor aankom, toe is die kwotasie vir my al aangestuur. In vergelyking met Nissan 'n paar dae voor dit, in Julie het ek hulle gevra wanneer die nuwe Navara inkom - ek is vertel miskien erens in Augustus (die model het eers in middel September opgedaag). Ek het gevra vir die LE auto 4X4, en is laat weet hulle het dit nie op vloer nie, maar dat ek eerder die manual moet vat - ek is 'n grootmens en ek kan my geld inkleur soos wat ek wil - as ek die auto soek, dan beteken dit ek wil nie weer 'n manual ry nie. Boonop dit het Nissan my 35k minder as Ford vir die D23 aangebied. Die laaste strooi was toe ek meer van die nuwe YD25 geweet het as die verkoopsman (wat my naam as Wellem gespel het).

    Ek dink ek het die regte besluit gemaak.

    Oom Grips, ek weet oom is nie 'n fan van klein diesel motors met hoe kraglewering nie, en in 'n mate stem ek saam. Maar die 2lt is al 'n paar jaar op die mark (die auto al meer) en ek het nie werklik iets swak gelees van die enjin nie. Ek is tot in my kleintoontjie verras met die 2lt.

    Ek glo vas meeste mense (let wel nie almal nie) se probleme met Ford enjins kom as hulle aan die ding probeer karring en/of die voertuig konstant hard ry (harder as wat hy voor gemaak is).

    My dae van jaag en hard ry is verby. Nou geniet ek bestuur meer.
