A trip I did to 3 Provinces with the 4WD Club of SA in 2009. It was raining and the Sunday we could not go out onto the mountain as it was too wet and too dangerous.

We have been there more recently (Willies memorial weekend) - but a lot can change in just one year with off-road tracks.

I am only considering camping there over that weekend which means getting the little caravan to and from the campsite only.
The condition of the trails - that is another story altogether.

Peter, maybe there's another access road or even another more caravan - friendly campsite........?? Even (maybe) near the chalets (not sure about electricity there)

Yup. I Will follow up with Ronel (The VERY nice lady.)
    Petri, Petri, Petri ....
OK I know, it's all OK.

Let's see if we (Us two) can get this all together.
    Hopefully.
    1. I will buy a bigger battery
    2. I could try to enjoy beer at ambient temp. (? !!)
    3. I could put extra leaf springs onto the caravan and put the springs on top of the axel, but then SWAMBO would need to stay inside or outside or I would (Most likely outside.)
    4. Does Ronel have a dog house that I could rent for the weekend ?
    5. EISH !!!

There is only one road to the campsite, and only one camping area, bar the one on the trail..

I'd never blame Petri, but I reckon it's Jomar's fault, but trying to introduce some class to the old man... he's not so sure of this wine drinking.

And yes, all my cars are men.... I can't take the risk of them being ladies. If you saw how temperamental and moody my swambo is, it's not worth the risk to have another lady in the house

You are on the camping list..

Although that 60 ratio requirement is for those doing the trail only, it might transpire that some positions open for more to join.. so as an explanation:

The 60 ratio means the 60 in 265/60/17 of your tyres

    Just a reminder:

Everyone must do their own bookings by Ronel at the venue itself.

NB! When doing the booking, please give Ronel your forum name as well.

I will provide her with the list of attendees, and we will verify bookings and payments in this manner.

Please take cognizance of the cost sheet attached to post #3

I have used their response form on the website.
Hoping to hear from them by email.
I need to KNOW if our small road caravan can make it without damage to and from the campsite.
We would be camping only and quite happy to keep the home fires burning for the other more adventurist attendees.
If we cannot safely get to the campsite with our very different rig now, then it would be a "No-no".
Will advise further after a response from the website or that "VERY NICE" lady.

Some alterations additions since then but apart from new tyres nothing affecting ground clearance, chassis, etc.
    Internal changes mainly.
