    Default Fortuner traction control

Some info please---Did some dune driving and while going up a dune the fortuner lost power and the TC switched off--Is it speed dependent or do I need to go into low range to keep it engaged--Fortuner is the d4d 3l auto

My experience is to always have TC off when doing sand/dune driving.

Don't know if the fortuner has stability control but that is usually the bigger momentum killer in sand. Low-range should switch off all stability aids off while possibly keeping TC in tact.

TC is useful is some sand situations but no TC, low range 2nd and centre diff locked is a good recipe.

Long press the TC off button. Had the same issue, but to completely disable the stability and traction control you need to press the button for about 5 or 6 seconds. Then you should see two lights on the dash. I think it TC and ESP/ABS

Hi hope everyone is doing well

Today I got my steering rack replaced on my 2010 toyota fortuner and after putting everything back together I took the car for a drive the alignment is totally off
when I drive about 40 to 50 the brakes grind and the traction light comes with that there is a beep noise that also come on
Just to mention 1 more thing the car looses power after 40 to 50

    1. You need to get an alignment done
    2. Make sure the wheel speed sensors/abs sensors are connected.

The traction control beeps when it engages and it will reduce engine performance to increase safety. Start with getting the alignment done and see what happens. If the traction control still beeps and slows you down go chat to a mechanic
