Searched the internet, and not much to be found. Even on the UK Daihatsu site same question was asked, with no satisfactory end result.

It appears that Daihatsu switched from HC range to Toyota at some stage.

Toyota and Daihatsu jointly developed the Toyota SZ engine range.
This was the Daihatsu code K3-VE.

The Toyota 2SZ-FE and 3SZ-VE was fitted to the J100 as a factory fit.

Factory spares for this option should be available: mounts, adapters etc.

2SZ and 3SZ are currently fitted to the Avanza, now popular with the taxi brigade, and most importers will have stock.

I would explore this avenue first.
