    Default Borehole keeps on tripping?

I am running my borehole pump for about 10minutes, then it just drips.
There is a little "overload" protection push button on the control box that pops out.
Any idea where I can start?

I have opened the control box, all seems good inside, no loose or open wires.

Here is a picture of the control box, the overload button is on the right hand side (it is pushed in now).

If I leave the pump for a day, it works for another 10 minutes again.
If I push in the overload button, the pump does not start again.

Before I pull up the pump, please give me some adivce?

all i can think of is that pump intake is partially blocked.

Thank you, I have seen some dirt/small stones in the tap, which I just remove.
So I need to pull the pump?

The pump is shot, blocked or else your borehole is empty.

The overload is there to protect the pump when it is drawing too many amps. This happens either when it is broken, blocked as mentioned, or when it is running dry and therefore too fast.

You could try replace the control box. They do get old and cause faults. But the chances are...........

I had same issue some time ago. It was the underwater cable joint. The joint heat up and then let water in....trip the system and then hours later it will run again for some minutes. I redid the joint and working OK.

Does it pump water all the way up until it stops?
Im thinking its possibly running dry. We're at the height of our lowest water table levels now at the end of the dry season, could be that your water level is just too low there now?

Had a farmer with similar situation, ended up being water ingress into cable and motor. Best bet is lift out pump, inspect cable for damage and check impeller and pump for muck etc etc.

    An update here.
So it seems it is the overload switch itself that is the issue.
I have removed the plugs and reinserted them in again and the borehole no longer drips.

I also pulled the pump up slowly and then slowly let it go down again.

Thank you all for the comments.
