Default Grondpad vanaf Durbanville tot anderkant Baviaanskloof

I am planing a slow trip from Durbanville to Baviaans and then return Prince Albert, Swartberg pas. I am trying to do this all on gravel/offroad. My route at this stage is Durbanville - Greytown - Aguhlas - Malgas - Heidelberg then gravel roads North of Heidelberg until it links up with the Seven passes road. I would like some info on which gravel roads from Heidelberg. I am still busy with the route further on to Baviaans and thereafter.

Where could I look for camping site from Heidelberg and along the 7 passes route or any nearby.

Plan is to start mid August and return end September so it is a slow trip sightseeing is the main plan. My mode of transport is Hilux and Bush Lapa on tow.

    Thanks.
    Ben

Ben, kyk bietjie roete van Heidelberg via Attakwas.

Praat met eienaar by Bonnievale plaas. Hy sal jou sÍ of jy met wa Attakwas mag doen.

Ek sal bietjie deur my ou roetes ook gaan.

Dit klink na n baie lekker trip.

Ons het in Desember 2012 min of meer so iets gedoen.
Somerset Wes na Struisbaai - net die kortste pad gevolg, so niks ompaaie.
Struisbaai oor Malagas tot by Swellendam. Naby Ladismith weer by R62 aangesluit.
Heerlik gekamp by Uitspan, en verder in die kloof af by Kudu Kaya.

From Heidelberg you can take the Gysmanshoek pass over the mountain and then stick next to/ north of the mountain to the R327. This bring you close to Herbertsdale but before you get there, head east again, taking any of those back roads to George.

Alternatively turn left on the R327 to Van Wyksdorp, Rooiberg pass and then south east across the Gouritsrivier to the R328 (beware: there are MANY gate to open and close).

Grootvadersbosch close to Heidelberg has quite nice camping.

    Alternative routes to consider:
    - There are many interesting gravel roads between Touwsrivier and Van Wyksdorp.
    - You can drive (mostly) gravel from Malgas to Stilbaai, Gouritsrivier and Mossel Bay and then head inland from there.

Die noordekant af was laas in redelike goeie toestand so as mens bo kom is dit maklik af.
