Default Amarok 2012 Diesel Pulley Failure

    Good evening guys,

Have any of you ever had the diesel pump pulley ever fail/disintegrate?

I had my cam belt replaced about two weeks ago and from what Iíve seen on YouTube the Cam Belt Pulley & The Diesel Pump Pulley are loosened in the process of changing the Cam Belt.

Im now sitting with bent rockers and valves and the mechanic says itís not his fault but Iím of a different opinion as they worked on that pulley last. Also the mechanic says that this kind of pulley failure is quite a common problem on the Amaroks.

Your help would be greatly appreciated.

Never heard of this. I will bet my bottom dollar someone screwed up. Either too tight or not tight enough.

Nog nooit van dit gehoor. Hou hom maar verantwoordelik en as jy versekering het kan hy dit daar eis. Die pulley sal nie gedek wees maar die resulting damage wel. Iemand het def iets nie reg gedoen daar. Sterkte

never heard of such a failure before. Most likely wasn't fastened properly, vibrated loose and the chatter broke the gear if I had to guess the sequence of events
