    The test result then:

    This was difficult to be fair. No not the report being difficult, but difficult to remain fair.

    What made it difficult was that out of the 21 vehicles listed only 17 did the trail.

    Obstacles rated 2: (Who dunem?)
    Ou Ryperd and Koos se Klim

    __________________________________________________ __________________________________________________ _____

    Ou Ryperd:
    Petrol: 9/11
    Diesel: 4/6

    Petrol = 82%
    Diesel = 67%

    But Petrol gets 3 bonus points for the three vehicles who did the hard line.
    And Diesel gets a straf point for the LC that broke down

    So:
    Petrol: 12/11 = 101%
    Diesel: 3/6 = 50%

    Koos se Klim:

    Totals:
    Petrol = 18/22 = 82% Success rate
    Diesel = 4/12 = 33% Success rate

    This is a deciding result, and proof that petrol engined 4x4's are better

    All the Petrol vehicles performed remarkably well. Without a doubt, extra horses and no turbo lag make a difference.

    Once again, thumbs up to that Haval H9 belonging to Psyphin( Kevin) certainly once again my vote as vehicle of the day.

    The FJ's. well I think with enough under protection, clearance and tyres will do well at Klipdrift. something like Bob's vehicle. But all did well, no issues from them at all.

    That Little Pajero 3500 V6 of NeilR. skriked for nix and went or attempted all the obstacles.

    That Hummer V8--- Look, That Hummer chews up all trails..seen it in action many times.. wonder how it will do in the dunes been so heavy.

    No issues from Steves Suzuki.. does whatever it is capable of.

    Al the other vehicles, Prado, Disco etc..well done

    As for the diesel guys, me been one of them.... we shall meet on the dance floor another day... when we have new shoes...

    I like formula!

    Low down torque and no turbo lag makes a petrol engin my choise!!! And the V8 has lots and lots of power

    That is not as heavy as I thought it would be.
    F and C trail here might be a different kind of challenge for the Hummer, and I have plenty of dunes to test it.

    Eish, with that lineup I can understand that it will be difficult to be fair those are all serious toys.

    The diesel fraternity will have to recruit some more serious allies if they want a rematch.
