    Default Series 3 WANTED!

Does anyone know of a “good” series 3 88' (SWB) that might be for sale?
I have seen a few but most have been butchered and seem to be more like project cars than good runners.
Not looking for a show piece but a good driver car.

If you find a body without a chassis, let me know. Wanna build a hybrid.

Nope, on a cut down D1 chassis. See if I can coax 95 inches out of a 88 body........trim the wheel arches and add mud spats.

The front and rear arches have some trim possibilities. The arch isn't well formed anyway.

    Something like this:

    Default Series 3 WANTED!

Iíve done a couple of hybrids - Series body on a Rangy chassis.
You can chop a 109 down to 88
    Lotsa work but worth it

Getting new papers isn't too hard, there's people you can pay to do all the legwork, legit nothing illegal.

Obviously have the owner.sort that put before you buy but it shouldn't be a deal breaker if it's a great but in all other respects.

For a previously unregistered vehicle? Pray tell how?

If the car was never on Natis and the chassis and engine numbers pass police clearance... lots of ifs. If it was on natis previously it could also have huge outstanding fines etc...

You need to take it for police inspection, microdot, weigh bridge, roadworthy and a final inspection. And then it is registered as a Rebuild.

One needs to be very cautious if it doesnt have papers (and it is technically illegal to buy a vehicle without papers).
