Mmmm, maybe bigger wheels / tyres, replace wheel bearings, extra springs - not sure if it's leaf or coil
    Whatever.

Anyone interested in my Glider Hunter Trailer (Modified for overland but very basic.)?

Stainless steel body with reinforced aluminium rack capable of carrying a RTT or equivalent.
"New" tyres - about 10 000 K max, but about 3 years old, including spare.
Full set of spares (Old, unused new).
    Needs:
New nosecone, respray steel rims, replace broken clip on the lid.
General TLC due to many offroad trips - many Km.
Leaks like a sieve if not covered by a tent or cover (Cover also available, made to fit.)
You may need to replace contacts in light fittings due to standing for 2 years +; thanks Covid.

If not a trade in, (Petri ?) then ideal for the fishing guys or someone wanting to mount a RTT on a trailer and get a bit "out there".

As you-all (KZN speak) can see, this one has grabbed my attention.

Peter, I've previously bought a vehicle from Petri sight unseen. I will do so again. What he shows is what you get. He made a point out of pointing out tje most insignificant "problems/damage" to me.

Peter, for what it's worth. Petri showed me and discussed this caravan with me some time before advertising it. I think you can buy with confidence. What can you get for R25000 these days?

Thanks, I have never yet met him in person but did get this kind of vibe (showing age) about him.
Those Vrystaat owens are usually OK folk.

Maybe he has already sold it ?

If this all comes together, I would be looking for a solution to my VERY old canopy problem.
It DOES need to be replaced.
    FUBAR.
Because - if I lose the trailer, which would be the case one way or another, then I need a canopy that does NOT leak.
I doubt that they still make new ones for the old D/C Suuz, so would have to be a good condition very used one (Finances once again!)

Hi Peter - sorry man missed your (I think) call, fountjie is in the car.

I think the little van is still nice, no issues that I know of, everything is there, the tent and canvas surrounds are really still as new. Handbrake works, spare good, everything that I can see looks good.

Tyres good, dunno how old they are though. Tows like a little Ventertjie, you really dont even feel it behind your car.

    Hail damage on roof.

Sold with RWC, all Reg Papers are in order.

I actually wanted to tinker around with this and also make this more gravel friendly or something, but its still too original, and we have the old Gypsey that my son "converted" SO nicely for us......and we really almost never use it, the kids use it more than we do.

Let me know what detailed Pics you need Peter, or where I should look for whatever possible issues etc etc, I'll be glad to assist. Maybe a walk around video, that always works better than a stack of pics.

Peter If mr Oosthuizen sells you this caravan and claims it to be 100%, believe him. I have had quite a few discussions with him and I can tell you he is what we call "sout van die aarde". I will not vouch for any one I have been let down too many times but Petri is ok.

I see he has come on line since I started tis reply so he will tell you all the good like a professional car salesman as well as all the negative unlike a car salesman

    Ja ja ja.

Like I forgot to add........but VAT needs to be added........

Henk, if you dont mind getting involved, and Peter, if you want - maybe also ask Henk & Others to let me know where and what to look out for, so that you can make as much an imformed decision as you possibly can......?? (One again Henk & Others....... if you OK with this).

I know a wee bit about used cars, but ja - caravans are not really my forte.

Thanks for the kind words BTW Henk

    Petri and Henk.
    Thanks both for your inputs.

We are not scared of travelling, so I am quite happy to come and have a look at your place.
We could find a place at Golden Gate at Brandwag or Glen Reenen fo sho without booking.

If you are prepared to consider a trade in of my stainless steel Glider Hunter with add on's / enhancements and new tyres
    OR sell it for me.
Then I could bring it up with us empty. I can include the spares and the cover.

If deal does not go through for any reason then so be it.

If I buy then you can give:
    1 Old people discount
    2 Prompt payment discount
3 Pass on the saving of not needing to deliver to Pinetown and return to Bethlehem.
4 I will try to think of more reasons, OK.

Advantage for me: Maybe I will get to take a short hike through one of my favorite areas not too far from home once again.
If all comes together we can be at your place by Tuesday early am.

Send me SMS or WhatsApp or call - you have my number.

    Thank you ALL sooo much.
I think we may just have found what we need.

We will discuss price a little bit but not too much ....

Peter, I have a (red, was white) Hilux SFA DC canopy that I would literally pay anyway just to get it out of my way. Still 100%, glass etc etc all intact.
NO way that it would maybe fit your Kesooz??

I don't know, we would have to do some measuring if I come up there ... we can talk.
I guess it would also depend on load bay configuration, shape, etc.
If we can seal the critical points onto the iSuuz bodywork maybe we could come to an agreement if you the dispose of the remains of mine.
Could be good for a chicken house or something.
Please give us an excuse to come up there .. I just hope that van is still available
    .
A bit wary of travelling right now unless these Zulu folk of ours calm down in the next day or two.

Talk Monday Peter.........its yours till next Sunday at Midnight, pending detail sent, etc etc etc.

I'd have to stick to Price, paid R 18000, picked up in Kempton last week, thats + R 1000, another R 1000 for Registration/RWC = R 20000, if you come collect here its R 24000, delivered in P/Town R 25000, full or partial payment upfront, if not 200% happy full Refund.

Have to make something here..........otherwise wull just keep it, even if just for the Kids to use to music festivals and the like. Or open a hot dog stall if I get gatvol of Cars.

Sorry 4 posting here - will WA on Monday
