Not sure, but it is a very basic model with 16inch steel rims and a very basic interior layout. Power and torque is less too - 120kw and 420Nm IIRC.

But if it comes in just at 500k, it is a ###### bargain.

But for the price, this is going to make waves.

I believe that the new Navara will only be available in September in Namibia.

I could be wrong, and they have test drive models available. Pupkewitz in Whk dont yet have one.

Die besonderse hulpvaardige antwoord wat ek gekry was "Oh, maybe August, I am not sure".

No question about it, Nissan is in financial doodoo and it shows.

160kw with 550Nm would have been awesome.

I went from the 3.0 turbo diesel Hardbody to the Navara 2.3, but from my perspective the 2.3 is a lovely motor. I've had mine since 2018 and it's done just over 50k on the clock, at least 20k of which were done on open road with very good fuel economy. Is it more expensive to maintain, does it have more mechanical issues, more expensive to manufacture? I'd love to know.
I myself had a 2007 Navara with the 2.5 Tdi motor that had 402Nm and 127 Kw. At that time all had much to say about the smaller motor as most of the other bakkie sector at that time had 3.0L motors. And the Navara kicked ass...…… T me this was a fantastic vehicle very capable in towing with great fuel economy. What a crash it was in fuel economy when I moved to the Ranger in 2013. The power of the ranger made up for this however.I WILL surely look at the Navara again if they keep to that 2.5 Motor. Depending on the Tara and towing capacity due to the size caravan we tow.Gona have a look at that Navara now.

Well, the benefits of the YD25 motor:
    - It is tried and trusted over a long time and has a reputation for reliability
    - It should be cheaper to build than more modern engines, so a lower sales price.
    - Parts (should you actually need it) is readily available.

Nissan is playing this one smart. Build on the strength of the D40 while modernising the rest. Well played.
