    The new Navara is absolutely pushing my buttons at the moment. I have driven the previous versions stukkend in the tropics in Malaysia and have huge respect for them.

    The new one really really appeals to me. And yes, even that 2.5 motor is a machine of note.

    Ek gaan vandag kyk of ek een kan vat vir 'n toetsrit.

    Hoop hulle het 'n auto op die vloer, ek is nogal nuuskurig oor die auto.

    Ek het ook die spec sheets vergelyk tussen die D23 en die nuwe model. Wat vir my van belang is, is die volgende:

    1) Die nuwe model se grondvryhoogte is 4mm laer

    2) Die ou model se invals en uitvalshoeke is 'n klein bietjie beter

    3) Die nuwe model se bak is groter (ook net 'n bietjie)

    4) Op die LE model kry mens 18 duim wiele terwyl die ou LE model 17 duim wiele het

    5) Draaisirkel van die nuwe model is aansienlik beter

    Have they gone back to the 2.5. unit of the first Navara? I remember it also doing 140kw and 450nm?

    Ek wonder of dit moontlik sal wees om die verskil in rygerief tussen die ou en nuwe modelle te kan voel? Daar is blykbaar veranderinge aan die veringstelsel aangebring en die manne van cars.co.za reken dit het baie verbeter.
    Ek het gister na die Pro 4X en 2X, asook die LE gekyk en ek dink die LE is die sweetspot vir toerusting/geld.

    Dan gaan die nuwe model jou verbaas:

    Ou model - 12,4m (kerb to kerb)

    Nuwe model - 6,7m (wall to wall) - wat de donner dit ookal beteken.

    Wel ek gaan letterlik van die ou model in die nuwe model inklim, so ek sal laat weet wat my ervaring was met die rygerief. Ek dink dit gaan egter 'n bietjie stywer wees.

    Ek stem ook met die LE reeks - dit is die bakkie met die beste waarde vir geld in die reeks
