RIP Peter, my thoughts are with his family.

I bought my first secondhand Landy and was a bit nervous after reading a lot of negative comments online. Decided to stop at the then Landyworx in Randburg. Had a great chat with Peter and Walter back then, and Peter's enthusiasm for my secondhand Landy matched my own. I will never forget that.

Cheers Peter, you will be missed.

The only positive memory I have owning a D3 was dealing with Peter. He made a very shitty situation a whole lot better.

Crushing news! Peter was such a generous spirit, with both his time and enthusiasm for the Land Rover brand. He will be sorely missed. RIP Peter and condolences to his family, friends and colleagues.

Bruce, do you now if it was Covid? Any case, be very careful in arranging the convoy, Covid is running rife in Gauteng and Joburg on the moment.
Yes, sadly it was COVID related - he had just come out of isolation on the 8th June and had to go for another test. He sent my hubby a WhatsApp on 15th saying he had tested Positive and was not feeling at all great

    Such devastating news

    Such devastating and unbelievable news

Peter was such a kind & generous soul who always had time for a chat, whether it was about the Disco, our mutual travels, photography and so much more. He was just a phone call or text away to give advice to us whenever we needed, no matter when or where we were on our travels. He looked after my Disco 3 from the time it came out of warranty almost 10 years ago now. Over that period of time we had become good friends. He and I had a very fond spot for each other.

In the past few weeks Peter had helped us with advice on the purchase of the new (secondhand) Disco 5, fitted extras for us, and followed up with a call to see that I (more so than Gavin) was happy with the additions and my new vehicle. We last chatted just 2 weeks ago. He was also helping us with a tremendous amount of advice on the Afrispoor Cheetah which we have on order.

He will sorely missed, more than can be imagined, by all who knew him.

Gavin and I want extend our sincere condolences to Pat and their family and to all at Overlandworx.

    RIP Peter
