Any of those will do. I had the previous generation Pirelliís on my RR with no flats or problems. Nice and quiet too. I have the Grabbers on my Disco now and have only done about 5000km with them. I am very happy with them, once again nice and quiet with good dry and wet grip.

I am surprised at the Grabber price though. When I bought mine the Grabbers were the cheapest of the three.

I am cheap and like Good Years. So Good Years it is for me. That also gives you more beer money.

I would go for GY, too.
Have you considered the likes of Sailun, Radar or Roadcruza?
Or are they also not available in your size?

Just be aware that the mileage people get on the GY Wranglers also differs quite a bit. It seems it's anything from around 50k to nearly 100k km. I guess it depends on driving style and vehicle weight plus how much gravel road you drive.

I have used both the GY and the Grabbers. Although I dont think that the current Grabbers will do the same mileage as the GY, they are superior in all aspects, dry tar, wet tar, gravel road, off road. They are even quieter on tar (not that the GY where bad). I would take the Grabbers anytime, they are probably the best AT tyres I have used and I have tried most.

    Hi Nys,

I went through the same exercise on my touareg. (Grabbers vs ATR vs wranglers).

I settled on the wranglers. I have done about 25k km and they still look good, I guess I should get another 25k km.

They arenít too noisy On tar and canít feel a decrease in grip versus my previous road tyres (pirelli). The grip on sand/gravel is impressive.

I have noticed about a 1l/100km increase over my previous road tyres (expected).

My Goodyearís are ďchippingĒ a bit but not excessive.

I lost 1 tyre over a Rocky section in southern Namibia. Probably more to do with my driving and the terrain rather than the tyres. I donít think the sidewalls are very strong.

Overall I am very happy with them And would highly consider them when Iím due a replacement. I do about 90% tar and 10% gravel.

Paid N$ 3200 per tyre all in, including balancing and wheel alignment. I am happy. Letís see how they go

The Treg will mot do as much gravel as it used to so I do expect good mileage

Thanks for your feedback Nys, please let us know if you are happy with these as time goes on.

At this stage I am leaning towards getting Pirelli again.
