Hi guys

I am gatvol for my Trailer Top Tent. It is just too cumbersome. I want to replace it with a Roof Top Tent, but the popular branded hard shell tents are very expensive and too narrow for me. Customising these can be done at a price probably.
I can do a soft top like Tentco, but I do prefer the hard top type. So to fit my tight budget, I did some searching.
Found Custom Leisure Tech on this forum and did some enquiries.

I like this tent and although it is not in the Tentco Deluxe type price range, I think the quote is fair and I like the hard top to mount panels on.
One of the reasons is that Paul will do this in a 1700mm wide width, leaving me with about 1600mm inside. That is fairly big. I do like the almost vertical opening of the hard lid. Other lids only open about 40degrees.
I also read that after sale service is great.

I cannot find any other hard top below R 30 000 on the market. Any thoughts will be appreciated.

We had ours fitted by Paul who helped accommodate the spare wheel and spare fuel tank boxes on the roof rack.I would highly recommend Paul as he is so professional and diligent about quality.

We have the Hardshell Plus rooftop tent from them, had it about two years now and done some long trips with it. We are very happy with the quality and find it totally waterproof. Only problem with a rooftop tent is getting up at night to pee

You are gatvol of a TTT, but you want a RTT? How will that improve on the cumbersomeness?
