Default NL Pajero LWB Blister Fender Suspension Questions

    Hi all,
    good day,

    I have a question,

I don't even have a Pajero yet, but am in the market for a LWB Blister,
I believe these already have a front and rear 40mm/40mm body lift factory fitted, is this correct on our local models? Is this 40mm all round? Are they a steel/metal spacer or plastic/poly spacers?

    Then,
if I would like to add a suspension lift to the vehicle as well,
I believe the components required are:

    - 2x (left and right) Front Torsion Bars
    - 4x shocks/struts
    - 2x rear coil springs (left and right)

    Is this correct?

With the mentioned components, could you do the lift in stages, lets say:

    - Rear springs and Front Torsion Bars fitted to the vehicle with standard shocks, then fit new struts at a later stage?

    - Or do they all need to be fitted together at the same time?

Are aftermarket Torsion Bars longer the standard/oem? I understand they are thicker to accommodate more load, but are they longer and that provides the front lift?

Lastly, with everything taken into account,
what brands of suspension components have you used, and what do you like/dislike about them, and who would be the best place to get these parts from locally? (I am in Cape Town, but could always courier from around the country to here).
OME suspension, Ironman, Tough Dog, Bilstein? What works best on and off-road?

Excuse me if this has been asked before, but I haven't been able to get all the info I need
your advice would be much appreciated,

    thanks

    Hi Andreas

I would go speak to the guys at the new Terrane Tamer franchise in Bellville. They have various tried and tested options for the Blister Fender and really goes out of their way to listen to your problems and offer the most sensible solution (in cooperation with your preferred installer).

Chat to Jacques Norval from Mitsu Care in Brackenfell. He is also a supplier of the Terrain Tamer products, just fitted them to my Dad's Gen 3 Pajero. Will probably be the guy to look after the Paj for you if you do buy.
