Default A Very Cool Cat looking for a new home

Mods, please move this post if deemed not appropriate.

Super M was rescued as tiny kitten, suckling with his siblings from a dead mom on an ash heap in a township. At least, this is what the cat rescue people told us. Today he’s a house-trained, very healthy and friendly 2-year old young man with oodles of personality, neutered and vaccinated for all and sundry stuff that could possibly befall a cat.

The pic's below are him as a kitten and what he looks like today.

Had we known that our life plans would change drastically, we never would have gotten a cat in the first place. But life's happened and here we are with a big change - we’re in the process of selling up everything and our plan is to cast off from Cape Town in May ’22 to sail the world.

Cats and water don’t really mix and even if they do, we could not bear Super M accidently de-boarding in some strange place only to fend for himself. Also, from what we’ve gathered, cats may suffer mentally after prolonged periods of time on a boat.

So very reluctantly, but in Super M’s best interest, we’ve embarked on an early search for a very loving home, preferably a home with a large garden (he currently has unrestricted access to 3,000 sqm). Any thoughts, suggestions or know somebody that would like to adopt a great cat?

No offence meant, but we would like to meet any prospective adopters and “inspect” the house to ensure Super M will be in good and caring hands.

I am an avid follower of Yachties around the world and a surprising number of them have cats on board. Good luck with your ventures (both cat and sailing) and do start a YT channel!

Thank you Francois. We're (also) boarding with two French Bulldogs, who fart (paint-stripping stuff) and sleep 95% of the time. Although they get on very well with the cat, space for all will become a problem. Jip, we intend to do a Youtube channel, 'tis more for keeping in touch with folks back home than commercial gain. Look out for SV Peponi.

    What boat are you using?

A WK, XJ and a Ducati...

    Nice.

A cat on a cat might work.
