We mostly use the water in the tank of the Miskruier as drinking water...well, for morning coffee mostly... I use a green slinky hose to fill at home. It does not leave a taste but I do still run it into the garden to flush the slinky before filling the tank.

The van is stored with the breather and drain tap open on the tank. I leave the drain open for a minute or so to let some of the water just run through. Then while filling up I switch on the pump and open the tap on the van and fill a bucket to flush the pipes on the van. I have never had issues over the years while doing this. As far as I know things like Milton should be avoided in stainless steel water tanks.

Even today as I take a drink from the hose I'm transported back to my careless childhood years.

Old garden hose should not have chem taste. Let it run before filling.

The problem is our tank is steel so the problem must be the hose.
