Default Ford Focus sedan 2006 - Boot release

    Hi Guys,

Hoping someone has a simple solution for me. I am sitting with a Ford Focus that’s boot release has failed. I have checked fuses etc and all seems good. this model has no external manual release I can see, and no button on the dash either to open the boot, so just the electronic “button”on the boot.

Is there a trick to open the boot if this fails, or am I going to have to drop the seats and crawl in and start pulling the trim back from inside the boot.

Hi dont know how old you car is. It might be that the wires inside the sprague tube that goes from body to boot lid might have broken. I had this happen to on Audi. Also no fuses blown and no globes faulty. Eventually found it after googling fault. Otherwise I would have been stymied. You will have to unfortunately open inside the lining to release. Best bet is to google it first. Sure as nuts someone has had same problem and posted on YouTube. Good luck.
