Replacement bumpers front and back and still have side steps. Just because I’ve not been in a situation to damage them yet. But I guess with 33” tyres and a 3” lift on the crooza that opportunity will not come soon

Ah, ok, I see. So pretty straight forward, I thought there was a deeper, stirring going on for a friday somehow .

Im in group B. Actually, I bought the vehicle with a bullbar (and winch).
It would be very very low down on my list of 'mods' if I didnt have one on.

Interestingly, I considered taking my sidesteps off at one point, but, when I climbed under it I saw it seems these steps on the patrol dont hamper the clearance at all.
If I had a double cab however, the stock sidesteps would be the first thing I remove.

I have the original everything on my car, changes in this order.

    1. OME suspension with 40-50mm lift
    2. Bashplate
    3. side steps to Rocksliders

I still have my sidesteps on and they have a few small dings, and I am OK with that. Until I replace them they will show me where I was getting close.

    Group D

Farmers and pretty much anyone else who drive long stretches of gravel roads on a regular bases, bumper helps with animal hits and a mounting place for the spots. Some of these people do little to no 4x4 driving so rock sliders isn't needed, but they very much need the extra protection up front.

Original alles on the appliance. When we go playing it takes about 20 minutes to remove the sidesteps with the trusted makita. Best of both worlds. Wife happy for the 99.9786 % of time we spend on road. And no she isn't a hobit, but close.

Have ONCA bullbar, sidestep and rockslider combo on LC 79 which has 16 inch wheels and 275x75x16 BFG tyres. And winch as well as spots and fogs on bullbar. Has OME lift about 50 mm. Standard system.

Vehicle is overland fitted and has done 125k on trips with 50k by us since purchase..

Rocksliders and steps, and vehicle chassis were designed by ONCA and could be cleverer, but the HLJ capability and alignments are useful IMO.

Sidesteps are essential to get in vehicle due to height and lift, and also to get high enough for access to canopy etc.

The winch is arguable but we do many remote and lone trips and I can envisage usefulness. Have used to help others.

Bullbar - has been useful in bush, excellent for lights, which are used often, and can support the HLJ, essential IMO.

    My thoughts.

My navara het nog standaard alles.
Maar ek het al voor bumper 2 keer vervang, weens diere in nag tref.
Volgende keer sit ek n staal bumper op. En sidesteps kan bly. Ek gebruik hulle om in te klim.
So ek sal dan seker groep b wees.

I think its actually called running boards.

Mine was removed probably 6 months before I even got my replacement bumper, which houses my winch (which I got before I even got my first 4x4) so it was transplanted to the current vehicle.

    I don't have spotlights.

So solank as wat jy hom geniet wees enige groep!

FJ = fullhouse - intended to play a bit ruff if needed.

Who in their right mind would fit an aftermarket bumper for better approach angles but still have weak side steps on that gives you a worse break over angle.
