    Default Another Aussie Trailer design

    https://newatlas.com/outdoors/kerfto...-road-trailer/

I just love the way this folds out... 2 separate kids beds, and the kitchen at the back...

For me, a really clever design.

Very clever, but I think it is going to be a nightmare when the wind blows and dust might be a bit of a problem.

Very nice but it seems to be using an old fashioned pipe system inside

It does not look as if the area of the kitchen ever gets closed up - if I am right one can only use it in fenced off areas not where there are hyenas prowling around. Otherwise a nice neat product.

Nope... but I would imagine if you add on an extension to the tent, you should be "reasonably" safe

Nice new design. But lets look at some of the numbers-I'm comparing with an Imagine Comfortvan because I have one. One can do this with any of the many great offroad caravans around. Completely accessible kitchen/washup/fridge/kitchen storage with hot water without doing more than opening two adjacent flaps, without packing anything out, no possible dust ingress to sleeping area. 160l of water vs 67l on this trailer. An onboard shower. Internal headroom-the same. Two separate queen beds vs the trailer one plus two singles-that's different. A TARE of 845kg vs 1,000kg for this trailer and GVM of 1,500kg vs 1,600kg for this one. Galvanised chassis snap. Aluminium and GRP vs mainly GRP. Single large tent structure would concern me at the coast. Bend something and you have a problem. We have some great products.

Which unfortunately actually makes it quite competitive. The stuff is so bloody expensive here. You can take the SA price and multiply by about 1.7.

And with Covid and the shut borders the internal demand has gone through the roof.
