Default Window Motor - worth rewinding?

Considering having the electric motors for my LC 80 windows rewound. Is it worth it, or am I just wasting time and money?

    - I have cleaned the window guides and lubricated with silicone lube. Minor improvement.
    - Greased the mechanisms. No real impact.
    - Haven't yet checked voltage to motors.

First check window switches. Window winder motors seldom fails.

Put 12v on the motor first , I have had two issues before , one where the brushes were worn out which I replaced and all good and the other time the permanent magnet had come loose and was binding the motor which I pratley steeled back in place and it worked again.

Good point. I will try that first before trouble shooting further.

Considering the Price of over R6000.00 per motor at Toyota, I would say rewinding would be worth it!
