Default Prado 120 CV Boot Replacement

    Dag se.

Ek wil graag uitvind of n mens n Toyota Prado 120 se CV boot net kan vervang of moet n mens die hele "driveshaft" replace.
Indien die hele shaft vervang moet word wie kan julle aanraai om dit te doen.

    Groete.

Hi DP123 I had inner CV boot go on my Prado and googled it. Followed what they did with some exceptions. If you catch it early enough without any damage to CV joint it only the boot that needs replacing. If you are handy enough it quite easy to do. The only expensive part was the boot from Toyota. There is also no need to do wheel alignment afterwards as you not changing any settings. Biggest problem is the nut on drive shaft which is 32 or 36mm which needs a breaker bar to loosen. Good luck.

The boots from Toyota are currently only available as a set of 2 ( for 1 shaft ) for R2919.14.

I bought a CV boot for inner CV joint on mine as well as seal for transfer case before my trip and got for around R1500. Was a breeze to replace. Have done over 3000km since then and all clean at the moment.

I also put aftermarket boots on the left.
    Original on the right

What i can say is that the quality is much better on the original.
