    Default Crypto's

Crypto's are currently performing back end.

I'm seeing my back end on Ripple.
Seems Ethereum is the only one on the boost.. and Bitcoin has gone for a ball.
Are the miners making any money.?

Maybe I should just sell and run, but stubbornness tells me to wait.

Not big into investing in Crypto, but threw R500 into Bitcoin and R500 into Ethereum at the same time. That R500 Bitcoin is now R476 and Ethereum R996.

To be honest a little birdie (hell, how I wish I remember who) told me Ethereum is the next big thing.

Me thinks Doge stole the limelight from Bitcoin and now Bitcoin is sulking. It'll get over it...sometime or other.

Crypto is a longterm investment. Over time you will see growth. Ethereum looks like it will do well over the longterm and with all the hype around Dogecoin there is potential for some good growth there as well. These things are so volatile that looking at the graphs daily will just make you negative.

Ja all in all if you look at all of them over 6 months or even a year they are all still up - daily fluctuations doesn't mean much, unless you trade on an hourly basis.

What apps are you guys using to trade?

I know very little about these things, but have used Luno for Eutheruim and Bitcoin, but it doesn’t list Dogecoin

the etorro app that has doge available - however this app minimum opening balance to start trading is $ 1000 ( R 14000)

etorro require your SARS tax number to open an account along with usual FICA documents.

doge has no underlying tech. Its a hype coin with Elon being the n01 hyper.

but hey there are plenty of random token start ups that can turn $ 1000 into a $ 1000 000 in a short time. latest was the Shiba coin
    but that gambling

This will not be good for Crypto investments. At least for the short term. They do have a point though.

Bitcoin momentarily touched $45699 at 2am this morning.

This is exactly why I don't believe in the sustainability of Bitcoin specifically. Crypto is here to stay, but Bitcoin is inherently unscalable. And all the gumpf about it being "limited in qty" is BS since they just keep fractioning it more and more. If you had to buy a "full" Bitcoin at a time then that would hold some truth.

So just a few days after Elon mentions Dogecoin, his enterprise does this with Bitcoin....

So does this hint at them accepting Dogeycoins in the future?

As if the carbon footprint of building their crappy electric car is any better - sustainable energy my ass And does his space rockets use wind or clean energy when it burns HUNDREDS OF TONNES OF EXPLOSIVE FUELS?

I see BC has taken a large dive. Maybe time to buy some more now.

Wait a bit -coins gonna drop some more yet!

Musk has a valid point about energy requirements of BTC ETC. mining -supposedly all the bitcoin mining activity globally now consumes as much power ( mix of all types) as Norway does ( excluding their burning reindeer dung!)

It would be a good 'rebuke' , for the BTC ETC broker/mining industry to commit to investing in Solar power ( or geothermal, if they agree to relocate to Iceland!

People are going b*tch and moan, but will have to have to ride the high's and low's of this for years to come -it's still a gamble, rather than an investment.

Maybe precisely the reason for his tweet, seeing that his tweets has such an effect on even nonsense like dodgecoin?
Who will know how much more he purchases when the BTC price tumbles...

There was a lot of volatility for a few hours today. Volumes are up which is a good sign. I think a lot of people sold when price dropped below $40k, then started buying again at $30k pushing the price back up a bit.

No one knows what will happen but I'm gonna wait a bit longer to see what BTC wants to do.
