    Default Air suspension opinion

    Hi Guys and girls

I would like to add air suspension to my 200 cruiser, towing a heavy caravan now and then.
Any opinions or air suspension in general?
    And which brand?

    Regards and thanks
    Sam

Are you talking about replacing the springs completely, or just install "air helpers"?

Air helpers work pretty well, are relatively cheap and don't compromise reliability. They may have a slight negative impact on how much the suspension can flex, but probably not a problem in your usage.

Replacing the existing springs with air springs is a different story. Not sure if that can be done in conjunction with KDSS, which may be fitted to your vehicle.

You will be best served with air helpers, which get inflated when you want to carry a load, and deflated in normal driving conditions.

Air Spring Supply Company in Jet Park.

They are the agents for Firestone air springs.

Morning, In the past I fitted an extra blade in my rear pack of springs. This worked but made the ride slightly harder. I moved over to air helpers, they are really good, normal driving (Ford Ranger XLT D/C) I inflate to 0.4 Bar, when loaded with my off-road caravan(100kg on the tow bar) I inflate to 1 Bar and my bakkie is level like normal.

You will never be sorry about this kit. Two manufacturers, both are good.

    Any further in your decision?

I just posted (search function not playing the game!!!) about installing helpers on my 2006 Fortuner as I want a RTT.

Reckon the answer is yes, but doesnt hurt to ask around does it!!!

    Hi Sam

I am also interested in air helpers (go inside the coil), have you received any quotes as to purchase and installation (or is this DIY'able)
