Default Jacuzzi dial thermostat electrical flow?

does the dial thermostat have a specific electrical flow direction?

Mine does not seem to trigger magnetic contactor to switch on the heat element.
when by-passing the thermostat and contactor the element heats up.

Mine "clicks" when adjusting the temp, even when the electricity is off. I also have the dial type.

Can you hear yours when adjusting?

I can hear the "click" on roughly 20 degree mark, I tried testing with a multimeter (ohm), and I get a reading when the click happens..

    Okay,
    Purple supply the thermostat
green goes from thermostat to the magnetic contactor
Yellow goes from contactor to the heat element..

I get no power on the contactor (yellow load) end

Does the contactor actually pick up. That mean the black tab in the centre moves from the 0 to the 1?

yes, as the pump kicks in

thermostat is my guess, but not 100% sure , hence the question of the wiring flow.. previous owner even plumbed the pump in backwards (suck from jets and flows in the bottom), so anything is possible..

Based on what you mention about the green that is the Live wire from the thermostat and no power through the contact at the yellow wire and contactor picked up that implies that contact is burnt.
Just moves the 2 wires to the contact next to where they are connected now. Move wire on 1 to 3 and 2 to 4 and try again.

I am not sure if this contact gives power to the pump or to the element.

this was my 1st test, I moved the pump to all 3 positions, and it was working fine...

maybe the wire from the thermostat to the contactor is bad, I will test the all 1 by 1 again..
