    Default Power naps - dutjies

Whom among you take daily power naps?

I live relatively close to my office, so in my lunch interval I usually get in a 20min power nap before I have to go back to work.

It has become such a habit that I cannot really do without it and I get grumpy if I can't.

Then on Sunday afternoons I am like an old man - after Sunday lunch I can sleep out for two hours easily.
    Cheers

Even after a Sunday afternoon nap, I'm a grumpy bastid.

It's as if my body tells me, you sleep, you sleep for 8 hours. What what this 2 hours BS.

    I can't imagine having a 20min nap.

When I used to still run my own business my favourite power nap time was from around 17:00 to 17:30 then family time till around 20:00 and then I would continue working till 1 or 2 in the morning. Without that little power nap I could do nothing after 20:00.

Nope.

Seker waar ek my liefde vir lees ontwikkel het. Van n jong ouderdom af het ek maar gelees as die ou mense slaap

I always do when I can.
Can't on my current project but i make a point of it on weekends and when I'm off. Been doing 7 days a week lately so I'm overdue. I manage much more if i get a solid 20 minutes in.

Not as much and I can only think itís due to me eating no more chocolate. I was on two slabs a day at one stage.

With the advent of online meetings power naps have become problematic .... no one wakes me up before I start drooling on my documents

Yip. I saw this first as a child when my uncle, a medical doctor, would just sit in a recliner after lunch and do this for 15 min. He would then get up, kiss wife goodbye, and you next saw him at eight or nine that night.
I started doing it at varsity when we started doing clinical work , and carried on right through my working career. Without it I would start feeling tired at three in the afternoon.
Like OP said in #6, internal clock perks you up after 15-18 min.
Some people just can't : my wife for instance. Grumpy if you wake her up after a few minutes.
