    Default Campmaster Fridges

Does anyone know who manufactures Campmaster Fridges?

    Anyone with experience of them?

I bought a Campmaster 72l double compartment last year at a Massmart store.
On opening I found a Snowmaster barcoded print on the box.
So I assume all Campmaster sold fridge/freezers will be the Snowmaster brand?

Hmmm. We don't get those in Namibia (or at least not in Swakopmund), but to me they look like (google) branded National Luna's. I might be very wrong, but if that's the case, then they are as good as it gets in 12v refrigeration.

The 72 ltr double door is straight out of the NL factory if you ask me. Or it's a copy, but I doubt it.

    Groete.

OWH is currently running a special on the new Snomaster Traveller 42L fridge at R7K, which includes the jacket and the wireless Thermometer.

I bought one, tested it, and is 100% satisfied with its performance. Both fridge & Thermometer also give you a battery level readout.

Nothing against the Campmaster units but I believe the Snomaster is better quality, better built and thicker insulation.

You must go and view the 42L Traveller and you will see what I mean.

I know that, but that is a down graded snomaster. Go check the quality of the Snomasters today and compare to the campmasters.

    I have the CampMaster 45l Fridge/Freezer.
Bought it December 2014 at Game for R6000.
Very happy with it, used about 8 times now on camping trips.
On one side of the original box it shows it is 12/24/220v.
Everywhere else on other sides of box it says 12/220v.
    Will this fridge handle 24volts?
    Thank You

Some back ground: I got a Kellerman (apparently a Snowmaster) Fridge with my LC when I bought it. (Was on my way to Namibia when the Chinese virus stopped all that plans) However the Kellerman was "faulty" apparently a compressor issue, R 2000 later and a new compressor) it was "apparently fixed, but when I switched it on it did not work - took it back to the repair shop, (JVR Electrical in Nico smit street) They told me the "board" keeps blowing up and is not prepared to repair it again...(Quoted another R 1000 for the blowing up board)...

I have now read quite extensively on the different camping fridges, but as you can imagine I am a little "alergic" to Kellerman/Snomaster/Campmaster - as it is apparently all the same thing - just under different names, which tells me who-ever is selling them "hides" the identity of the thing as it is "crap" - generally speaking So it seems it is either National Luna (Engel seems prohibitively expensive) or Dometic (Waeco?...apparently the same as Dometic)

If you have to buy a new, camp fridge/freezer now...in the R 8000 range - what whould you buy...and why?

Or if someone want to sell me good one...at a decent price...
