    Default Looking for....

Guys I need help..I am looking for hen's teeth, but I am sure someone here on the forum will be able to put me in contact with the right people...
Looking for a fairly capable overlanding motorhome.
My needs are sort of specific, but I am more than willing to some work myself, or to get it done somehow...For instance: Closed up, if it has a pop-up roof, it cannot exceed 2.35 meters in height.
My starting point, and first prize will be an older VW California - with the 2.5 TDi gearbox and MANUAL shift. This is actually WHAT I want...Anybody want to part with theirs?
It is not imperative that it is; THAT, but a vehicle that can be made to be somewhat like that, will be good...I am currently looking at and for VW Caravelles that I can have changed into this...? Maxmo.life...
The engine also does not need to be that specific engine, but regarding a gearbox : If the engine is unpowered, an auto box is useless. If the engine is powerful, an autobox MIGHT work, provided it has Low Range...
Iveco Daily and Unimogs are too big and truck like..
I thought a Sprinter 315 CDi might work, but once more ... too big and truck like...I will want to be able to use this vehicle to commute as well, and park in a regular parking bay! NO! NO! NO! Not a Nissan Marauder!
It only needs to cater for two people...max 4, but not necessary...
Help? (This is said in a very reedy, timid voice...)

Thanks Stan, but as I say: "Hen's teeth"... The only one remotely approaching my specs, is NOT 4x4...non-starter in other words....
Useful link nonetheless! Most of the units advertised there has the same name though: SOLD!

En so kom alle lang soektogte op 'n einde.
I have found my hen's tooth. Now I need to pay up.
