    Strip it and remove o rings. Go to a hydraulic shop and get new o rings. Clean all, put new O rings and assemble. Fill with proper hydraulic oil and test. Should be OK.

    One needs to make sure the O rings you use is compatible with hydraulic oil.

    The decent ones have screw on end caps.
    Have seen some with retainers and circlips

    Imho, get a 5t jack than battle with a 2t jack.

    The picture of the red Midas jack is a mechanical spiral jack...not hydraulic jack...

    vandag met 'n wurth rep gepraat waar word hulle kry jacks gemaak ,die se dit word in china gemaak maar met die duitse standaard . so jy het reg gekoop ,ek se vir die rep dat die midas se seels is swak is dis hoekom dit lek ,so, jy sal moet toets ,ek hoop nie dis onnodig nie .
